Winner of Canada’s Classroom of the Future Challenge and one of fifteen recognized by Prime Minister’s Awards for Teaching Excellence in STEM, this teacher has pushed the bounds of play-based, STEAM-centred learning, using Makey-Makey, Brightspace, Minecraft, robotics and the LEGO brick, for 16 years. As a local and international speaker, STEM workshop facilitator, FIRST LEGO League coach, lifelong learner and, above all, an elementary teacher, his journey is rooted in the love of empowering the learner; using innovative technique and technology.
