Dave Gamon will join Tammie Schrader for a conversation about game-based science. Dave has been a middle school science teacher for 26 years and an adjunct professor for Gonzaga (5 years) and Whitworth University (20 years) in elementary and secondary science methods courses. Dave has served on the Washington Teachers Advisory Council Lead Team and was the Regional Teacher of the Year in 2008 for ESD 101 in Eastern Washington. He’s helped to design and build games and gaming strategies with local companies through NIH grants. He and his wife Jennifer recently began N2X Educational Consulting to help develop vision, processes and products that help transform education from conteNt-based instruction to conteXt centered, project-based learning. They and their team at N2X have built games, interactive podcasts for teachers, and STEM training workshops for community partners. They have 5 kids and love what they do together.
