Erin Weir joined InterAction as the Director of Protection in June 2021. Erin has over 15 years of experience working to promote respect of international humanitarian and human rights law, and the advancement of effective protection approaches with multiple NGOs—including Refugees International, the Norwegian Refugee Council, and CARE—in contexts spanning Africa and the Middle East. She has also consulted as an analyst, trainer, and training developer with numerous I.R. and security-focused institutions, as well as the U.N. Erin holds a B.A. (Hon.) in Political Studies, with a minor in Development Studies from Queen’s University (Canada), and an MSc in International and European Politics from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland, U.K.).
