John Hayward is the Chief Executive Officer for the DiSTI Corporation and serves on DiSTI’s Board of Directors. Hayward is responsible for operation of the company’s business segments and directing strategic growth.

Previously Hayward was a Senior Vice President & General Manager of TRU Simulation + Training’s Military Simulation and Training business unit. TRU offers flight simulation, maintenance simulation, and operator training solutions to the global military training market. Prior to that role Hayward was the Senior Vice President & General Manager of Textron Systems Support Solutions where he was responsible for aftermarket solutions for Textron Systems products. He also held other leadership roles at Textron including Vice President of Logistics and Director of Training Systems and Services. Prior to joining Textron, Hayward held several engineering and leadership roles within the simulation industry.

Hayward holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The Catholic University of America and a master’s degree in software engineering from the University of Maryland. He has also completed Textron’s Senior Executive Leadership Programs at the Thunderbird School of Global Management as well as Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
