Mary Ann Communale: is an Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Drexel University College of Medicine and the Director of the Center for Science Communication and Outreach at the Institute for Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine. She is a full-time educator and does Lyme disease research. Her passion for science communication and educational learning technologies has led her into the realm of serious games. She mentors undergraduate students in serious game design and provides internship opportunities to students interested in developing serious games. Her work focuses on serious games that teach about infectious diseases that are app-based and available on IOS and Android platforms.
