Maureen Powers is a neuroscientist whose primary interest is in the visual system – how we see.

Following a research and academic career at Vanderbilt University, where she founded the Vanderbilt Vision Research Center, Maureen moved to California to continue her research in children’s vision.

Currently Maureen leads the team at Eyes in Sync, a start up technology company that is using virtual reality games to improve reading eye movements for reading, sports, and better visual performance in all realms of life.

Eyes in Sync received an SBIR Phase I grant in 2020 from the National Science Foundation; Team in Sync then re-submitted for Phase II.
