Mélitza Charest is a doctoral student in French literature at the University of Ottawa where she is writing a thesis in creative writing composed of an autofictional work and an analysis of social assignments related specifically to women’s bodies in contemporary French literature. During her studies, she taught French at La Cité College in Ottawa and was a second language evaluator for the Public Service Commission of Canada. In addition to being a finalist in the uOGRADflix competition (my thesis in 60 seconds), she regularly publishes her research on social assignment and fiction in journals in France and Quebec.
