Rick Shepardson: is a Motion Picture Artist and Professor of Digital Filmmaking at Eastern New Mexico University. Much of his creative work and instructional method is edified by the writings of Rebecca Solnit and Jane Caput. In particular, he cites Solnit’s books A Field Guide to Getting Lost and River of Shadows: Eadweard Muybridge and the Technological Wild West as providing the heart, soul, and mind of his classroom content and methodologies. Oh—and Alan Watts fits in there somewhere too.

Shepardson’s most recent work, She Saw Me: My Encounter With La Llorona is a blend of experimental animation, video, and soundscapes and has screened at a variety of film festivals and industry conferences.
