Ryan Sumner, following a BSc in Computer Science from Massey University in Auckland, he focus has been on AR/VR development. Evidenced through successfully completing a Master’s degree in Computer Graphics from Victoria University of Wellington, a programme developed in collaboration with Weta Digital. Strong soft skills gained through university tutoring, demonstrations and presentations. Work experience includes game development and programming for various AR/VR business solution companies. Firstly through an internship within an innovations team at Datacom, followed by a role as a Unity development contractor at Mixt Studio and more recently contracting for the innovations lab at Theta Systems Ltd developing a multi-platform AR/VR content creation application called Mixiply. Knowledgeable in the use of numerous other industry standard game engines and software tools such as Unreal Engine 4 and Houdini. Conducted significant research and carried out user studies contributing to the current body of knowledge on Virtual Reality as part of Master’s Thesis.
