Dr. Scott Nicholson is Professor and Director of the Game Design and Development program at Wilfrid Laurier University in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. He is the host of Introspective, a YouTube video series about analog game design. His current focus is on escape rooms, immersive experiences and live-action games designed around real-world learning outcomes, and was the lead author of the book Unlocking the Potential of Puzzle-Based Learning: Designing Escape Rooms and Games for the Classroom. Most recently, he worked with the mEducation Alliance to develop EscapeIF, a system to allow teachers in low-resource classrooms to use storytelling games requiring only a script, a blackboard, and found objects.
