Dr. Steve Wilcox is an Assistant Professor and community-based researcher in the Game Design and Development program at Wilfrid Laurier University. His research explores the relationships between play and cognition with a focus on using games to develop and promote social understanding. His community-based research projects are embedded in health curricula across Canada and he is the author of “Praxis Games: A Design Philosophy for Mobilizing Knowledge Through Play” published in the Journal of Play.
