Game Designer, Educator
Using Eco for Community Building and SEL in Middle School
Tim Handley is a scientist turned educator and game designer. In his first career, he worked for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and then at the U.S. National Park Service. Frustrated by the growing gap between science and society, and being both a trained scientist and a lifelong gamer, he decided to bring these skills together to help build a better future. Currently, he teaches science at One Spark Academy, teaches game design at ArtCenter College of Design, and creates science-based games at his studio – Mindful Mammoth.
