What happens when more than 85% of employers complain that new graduates of Vocational Schools and Universities start their jobs with technical knowledge, but lack the human skills that are critical to being successful in a real work environment? Simple–we built GradForce.
Come experience how Redwood was able to harness the power of simulations and gamification tactics to teach soft skills to more than 3000 students and get them ready to show Star quality at work. Best of all, we created an opportunity for graduates to bump up their resumes and demonstrate their STAR (situation, task, action, result) power in interviews. GradForce, a business simulation addressed that gap by teaching these core skills was able to successfully impact the careers of over 3000 students wanting to join the workforce. We will look at the power of simulations and the effectiveness of adding gamification to real world situations. A case study for TFI (Toronto Finance International) will be demonstrated and the results that ensued for both the students and employers.
Attendee Benefits
Attendees will see how preparing a new hire for the job with human skills really makes a difference to their performance. We will give handouts to the case study as well as key learning points. We will also give them a token for 1 free GradForce session if they want a deeper dive or to experience it for themselves.
