Organizations in the U.S. spend an average of $3.6M per year, for a total of more than $56B, on health and wellness programs each year with the goal of improving the overall well-being of their workforce. What if that amount could be reduced by more than half, yet still return the same results? The largest healthcare organization in the Pacific Northwest embarked on a program to do just that. Leveraging the basic concepts of the reality TV adventure show "The Amazing Race," they developed a comprehensive, months-long program to get employees actively involved in improving their own health. The results were far better than predicted!
